Loving this new series, Jessie! I especially agree with the part about being cognizant of comparison. It's so easy in this digital world, especially, but when we take stock of how much we have to be grateful for it really puts things into perspective.

This is fantastic, Jessie! You packed so many inspiring things in here. I especially loved the part on comparison—that's something I'm constantly having to check myself on.

Thank you Lindsay, your positive feedback means so much to me 🥹🩷 comparison is so universal yet so fickle! I’m right there with you!

I also struggle with comparing myself to others and competing with them. And many times, I'm competing for something I don't even want.

Thing that made me smile - my cat being her usual adorable self.

Thing I'm letting go of - needing to be productive EVERY SINGLE MINUTE.

Thing I'm opening up to - having an actual day (or even a half day) of just rest.

Thing I'm working on - letting go without giving up.

I generally want to feel less overwhelmed. I feel most of my emotions stem from the feeling that everything is insurmountable and then getting nothing done.

Letting go of comparisons was too relatable for me. I feel like Substack as a platform does a pretty good job at minimizing newsletter size stats compared to other social platforms, but once I realize how big some of these newsletters are it can really mess with my own sense of creative value.

Thank you for reading 🥹 I agree Substack does a great job, but somehow my mind always finds a way to measure and compare! It’s so good to be aware of it, and then find the confidence to create anyway. I hope it continues to get better for you 🩷
